New York Knicks vs Washington Wizards

New York came out locked in from the opening tip. They led 32–27 after the first quarter, then methodically widened the gap — outscoring Washington 36–25 in the second, 37–29 in the third, and a dominant 40–32 in the fourth even with the game long decided. The final margin of 32 points was reflective of just how thoroughly the Knicks dominated every facet.
The numbers were staggering. New York shot 58.5% from the field and a scorching 53.1% from three-point range (17-of-32), while converting 94.7% of their free throws. They scored 64 points in the paint, generated 26 second-chance points, and held a biggest lead of 33 points. Perhaps most impressively, their bench alone chipped in 57 points — a figure that would be a solid team total for many squads.
Josh Hart was everywhere, ending the night with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals on 72.2% effective field goal shooting. Mikal Bridges controlled the game with 14 points and 6 assists on 54.5% shooting. Mitchell Robinson was perfect in his 14 minutes — 10 points on a flawless 5-for-5 from the field, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Off the bench, Mohamed Diawara scored 12 points on 75% three-point shooting, while Jordan Clarkson added 8 points and 4 assists.
For Washington (16–56), the evening was another difficult entry in what has been a very long season. Anthony Gill led the Wizards with 18 points on an efficient 80% from the field, and Bub Carrington distributed 8 assists. But Washington’s defensive rating of 140.3 on the night tells the full story — they had no answer for a Knicks team operating at full throttle.
With the Eastern Conference playoff race tightening, this was the kind of statement win the Knicks needed. They now sit a half-game behind the Boston Celtics (47–24) for the second seed in the East.
